Visit... Snag A Job.comSnagAJob.com is the nation’s largest job site for part-time and full-time hourly jobs, with job seekers performing more than 100 million job searches annually on it's website. And it's easy to see why. Sign-up is free for job seekers, and searching for job openings in your area could not be easier.

Since the company's founding in 2000, more than 10 million folks have signed up (at no charge) to take advantage of the company's vast client list - spanning the retail, restaurant and service industries. Current clients include The Home Depot®, Target®, Wendy’s®, FedEx®, Bank One®, Rite-Aid®, Michaels®, Friendly’s®, Staples® and hundreds of others. Much like the classified section of newspapers, employers pay a fee to post full and part-time hourly job openings. For job seekers, access to those listings are free.

How it works:

Register for free and create your member profile. The profile form will ask you for contact information, as well as information regarding your education, your experience, and your work preferences. Basically, you're filling out a simplified online job application just once, which you will then be able to use each time you apply to job postings. During this process, you can elect to have your profile added to the company's database. This allows employers who are searching for people with particular profiles to find you and contact you when your experience matches their needs.

Once you are registered and your profile is created, search for jobs in your area by simply plugging your zip code into the search box. You're then given a list of employers and positions available, ranked by proximity to your address. Scroll the list. Click on a job title and you're given an in-depth overview of the job, as well as detailed employer information.

If you like what you see and feel that you're qualified, click the "Apply Now" button at the bottom of the page. The employer will receive your member profile, and contact you if they feel there's a match.

Here's what we liked:
  • Free to register. There is no charge for job seekers to register.
  • Crazy easy to use. This is one of the most user-friendly sites we've ever come across.
  • Reputable company and employees. Founder and CEO of the company, Shawn Boyer, was recently named SBA's "National Small Business Person Of The Year," with one of the criteria for the award being community outreach. The company itself has been named one of the 50 Best Places To Work In America.
  • Over 100,000 active job postings at any one time.
  • Results: in the first 6 months of 2008, over 200,000 job seekers landed a job after using the site.

In summary, this is a genuine, straightforward way for job seekers to connect with employers offering quality jobs. In a tough job market like this, we advise anyone looking for full or part-time hourly work to take advantage of this service. Servers to restaurant managers. Sales associates to merchandisers. Material handlers to administrative assistants. Nursing assistants to in-home caregivers. Automotive technicians to daycare teachers. Survey takers to secret shoppers. If there's a quality hourly job out there, odds are these folks have it listed. The rest is up to you.
